- Dates and location announced for Second Hybrid Materials Conference
Following the successful inaugural Hybrid Materials conference held in Tours, France, in March, 2009, which attracted 922 participants from 54 countries, it has been announced that the Second International Conference on Multifunctional, Hybrid and Nanomaterials – Hybrid Materials 2011 – will be held in Strasbourg in 2011. Organised by Elsevier, the event will take place at the Palais des congrès, Strasbourg, 6 – 10 March, 2011.

- Speaker listing now available
A preliminary list of speakers is now available for Diamond 2010. More speakers will be added to this list as confirmed. 
- Focused sessions announced
Diamond 2010 will include focused sessions on the following topics: Quantum effects in diamond; Device applications of diamond; Biosensors; Diamond Nanoparticles. 
- Online registration now open
Online registration for is now open for Diamond 2010. Reductions apply for delegates registering before the early booking deadline of 23 June 2010. 
- Call for Papers
Online submission is now open for abstracts for oral and poster contributions at Diamond 2010. Papers are invited which cover new developments in all aspects of vapour growth diamond, natural and synthetic diamond, nano-diamond, and related materials such as carbon nanotubes, diamond-like carbon and wide gap nitrides particularly cubic boron nitride. The deadline for submission is 5 March 2010. 
- Dates and location announced for Diamond 2010 Conference
The 21st European Conference on Diamond, Diamond- Like Materials, Carbon Nanotubes, and Nitrides will take place at the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest in Budapest, Hungary, 5-9 September 2010. This annual meeting will once again bring together internationally renowned researchers for a comprehensive programme covering the latest developments in diamond and related materials - from the fundamental science to industrial applications.

- Announcing the Robert Cahn Award
The first Robert Cahn Award will be awarded to Professor Steven Zinkle at NuMat 2010. The award has been created to honour this highly respected materials scientist who was also one of the founding editors of the Journal of Nuclear Materials, the sponsor of the conference.
